Our goal is to carry on the legacy of Dr. Mark Bookman and bring about greater change and awareness in the community throughout the world with the GLIDE Fund.
Dr. Mark Bookman
Dr. Mark Bookman, a severely disabled American who resided full-time in Tokyo until his passing became one of Japan’s leading experts on accessibility and a policy consultant for the United Nations at 31 years of age.
Dr. Paul Bookman
With the help of my daughter as well as the rest of the Board of Directors of GLIDE, I welcome you to join on our journey to preserve Mark’s legacy and insure that we successfully award grants and promote discussions world wide about the need to remove physical and psychological barriers so that all people are treated equally.
Rachel Bookman
Rachel Bookman was born with a rare form of muscular dystrophy. She received a heart transplant in 2013 at age 19 and started using a wheelchair full-time in 2016. She works in concert with her father Dr. Paul Bookman, DMD on GLIDE FUND INC., a non-profit organization setup in memory of her brother.
Ron small
Ron Small has enjoyed a prolific and varied career in the entertainment industry, running the gamut from Talk Radio Host to Emmy Award winning Producer. Throughout his life Ron has endeavoured to be a force for positive change and his work with Glide Fund is no exception.
nAgase osamu
Nagase is a long-time advocate for the rights of people with disabilities. He is the former Regional Representative for Asia and the Pacific (2004-2016). During this term he promoted self-advocacy, with a special focus on the less developed areas.
Dr. Wasna Dabbagh
Dr. Wasna Dabbagh, DMD is a board-certified orthodontist with a focus on cleft and craniofacial orthopedics in Philadelphia, PA. Wasna was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq, where she attended the University of Baghdad College of Dentistry.
