Dr. Wasna Dabbagh
Dr. Wasna Dabbagh, DMD is a board-certified orthodontist with a focus on cleft and craniofacial orthopedics in Philadelphia, PA. Wasna was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq, where she attended the University of Baghdad College of Dentistry. After moving to the US, Wasna graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she became involved with the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic (LCPC). LCPC is a nonprofit organization that pioneered a collaborative approach to cleft treatment, establishing the standard of care world-wide. Her involvement with LCPC inspired Wasna to work with colleagues in Baghdad on establishing the same type of community clinics and centers throughout Iraq to provide care for children with craniofacial anomalies.
Wasna’s focus on community support led her to volunteering for Philadelphia FIGHT, where she provides orthodontic services to low-income community members and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
Wasna maintains a private practice in Philadelphia, where she has been involved with a number of community organizations including Penn Smiles, Academy of General Dentistry Outreach, WePAC and Communicare. She was also involved with the National Democratic Institute/Election Information Network and Relief International – Schools Online in Iraq.
Wasna lives in Philadelphia with her husband and their two dogs, Tito and Sven.
